Agreed, putting laws on books still doesn’t stop it from making happen. Just look across the Ocean towards the middle east or even south towards Central/South America that it’s a safe bet that all uprisings and insurgents the common theme are masks to conceal identities. Whether lawful or not, it won’t do a damn thing. Guns aren’t a right in Canada. Yet a large percentage of crimes are committed with them even though it’s illegal to use one while committing an offence – such as robbing a bank or killing someone.
Governments should spend more time putting efforts into laws that will be respected and stop wasting time and money on one’s that will continue to evoke ridicule and non-compliance. Regardless of laws, it’s obvious that flawed laws will need countless other ‘NEW’ ones to plug the holes in them. At what point is enough enough? Strangling and tying up people at one point will result in more opposition and chaos, finally disrespect for laws.
We should ask ourselves if that is what we want. Today’s kids will be tomorrow’s trouble and God help those who try to stop them.
