Ah, the fine smell of that freshly printed or handwritten ticket in hand. Let’s face it, officers on any day of the week will pause a moment or two if the explanation sounds reasonable enough to just issue a warning. However, on any given holiday – bully enough a good officer into working a long weekend or just a day on a long weekend just enough to somehow irk or turn them into sidewinders and bingo, you’ve bought the farm and a ticket, maybe more to a cashless, debitless, creditless black hole wallet or purse. Excuses – don’t even go there with a 10 foot pole. You might as weel try learning pole dancing to relive the stress of being behind the wheel with red lights flashing behind you.
Okay, let’s all play musical chairs and change holidays around. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays were all at work. The other four we’re off. Sounds reasonable to me if they do almost the same in France. Gosh, then we won’t have to worry about speeding and tickets.
Punitive and small thinking. Take money out of the economy and pay for a new cruiser or two. Heck let’s not forget that it cost TAXPAYERS more money to print off those massive amounts of ticket books in the first place.
What a vicious circle. Might as well kick ourselves in the butt. More energy efficient – that’s my argument and I’ll stick with it.
I might just as well end up taking the bus to Montreal. Won’t that be a hoot, just a bus ticket and none else to pay. Well, I’m lying, got to pay the outstanding ones. Settle accounts on the paper trails so that I can come back and settle the score later.
BTW those old tickets were intentionally targeting me and vindictive in nature. But heck I warned them, but who listens to little old me???
What goes around comes around. Yippppppeeeeeee
