So this whole scenario doesn’t make cents money wise. Cutting corners here and there affects 10’s of thousands of people in North America and God knows where elsewhere, down the food chain.

Okay, here it is. Listen to Union demands and implement the changes it requests if reasonable. Processing more meat with not enough workers is a reciepe for disaster – call it Mad Cow, Mad People or Mad Mobs as I was teaching my daughter, the bottom line is the same. Throwing money out the window only makes sense if you own it and have enough to share it without concern. However when workers and communities close and far depend on the very existence of a plant doing business properly, the ethical way to do business is clear. Step up to the plate, do what needs to be done and turn the page. Then hopefully down the road if other issues crop up, then a lesson learnt here and quickly corrected stands a good chance to serve as a mentor and guide to nip something in the bud before it gets out of hand.

What’s important to remember is that we are all dealing with the same thing here ! Safety, peace of mind and dignity. Cattle give their lives to feed people and people depend on them for survival. Simple no brainer – let’s not complicate the matter and make it worst.

Federal Inspectors, I’m counting on you doing your jobs over and above the call of duty and to report it in FULL to your supervisors and managers or whatever you call them. I’ll take it from there if something goes south and needs to be corrected in the future. At least shit won’t run down hill if your doing your jobs with integrity.

Enough said, get that plant back up and running.
