I fully expect that some type of commercial re-adjustment will take place on a larger scale across Canada due to the Charbonneau inqury in Quebec once all is said and done. While in may result in some delays and impact economic policies, in the long run, a more honest way to bid on projects funded by taxpayers without hosing everyone will be good for Canada’s soul.
How long this will take is anyone’s guess right now. We still have dirt to dig up and publicly uncover how these organizations were run and how they affected everyone top to bottom. Once there’s a major cleanup of the rift raft and unsavory characters, new policies should be in place to make sure that everyone is online and publicly available for critical analysis of public projects that are bid on.
