Let’s think it through as a complete birth to death concept !  We’re already doing it almost that way piecemeal at great costs and inefficencies for society presently.

Let me put it this way.  Law & order.

Crime scene, no problem – lock it down, snap it out, ship the kit & kaboodle to forensic lab for evidence.  Simple right.

Furthermore, guilty party gets their own in-house dungeon cell(oops sorry for the term – couldn’t resist), snap-in for house arrest.  They live in their own house and do time on their dime.  Work in house(maybe snap-in workshop) and pay day to day expenses. Profits go back to pay restitution for victims.  Society pays upfront costs paid back after all is said and done.  They bear onus for not being vigilant in first place by having offender within their midst. Good solid communities participate and support one another while living together.

Hey, push the computer button cell door opens for 15 minute break.  Push button for lunch, supper.  They cook their own meals.  Internet teaches online educational skills.  No TV, no luxuries.  Solitude and penitence until sentence served.  Humane, no intrusive, just and at much reduced costs and violence in correctional facilities.  Hardcore can still go there if society decides it’s best.  Offender decides at onset based on crime, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Think it through based on all factors for society.  Even psychologist can do inhouse sessions via Net with patients remaining home.

Lots of vertical & horizontal life solutions.
