What you must consider is that everytime you log into and on either a public or private Wi-Fi network, you are putting yourselves at risk with the information you are transmitting over it.
The network does not belong to you and you are signing away your Constitutional Rights entirely. If whoever must co-operate with authorities for a search on that network, private or public, you have no say whatsoever.
If on the other hand you use just your cellphone hotspot or your own private network(s) to connect to the net, search warrants must be clear and precise in order to justify the invasion of your inherent privacy and laws of Canada or other legal jurisdictions.
Consider carefully how you jump on and share network time.
Even companies and corporations are subject to legal ramifications if they cannot justify the lawful invasion of your privacy of whatever you are doing on the net.
I push mine to the limits now to make sure that if one day, I’m in court, the question will beg of exactly WTF was anyone thinking of invading my privacy. Just like the defunct Long Gun Registry database – if people can exchange guns to fuck up the accuracy of the old database, willy nilly, so can you fuck up anyone trying to snoop on whatever you’re doing on the net.
Go everywhere, do everything…. then let someone try to figure out exactly WTF….
Fair is fair, if you can be harmed by un-Constitutional behavior, so too can you return the favour !
Tread carefully, the net is an entirely open and public system – it is NOT – I REPEAT EVER EVER PRIVATE – NOT EVEN VPNs or encrypted info traveling on/in it !
