The length of time the City of Ottawa has known about these problems is indicative of exactly who is responsible for the entire 100 % costs of fixing these problems. As a previous owner of properties in Ottawa, not affected by this problem, even I was aware that the City knew of this problem through word of mouth with construction contractors. Even with an RCMP officer present.
AND I’ll bet the City of Ottawa even has the stupidity of harassing homeowners through other unrelated issues when they’re not jumping on the City’s bandwagon of fixing this once and for all properly. Homeowners should pursue litigation when this is the case.
