The author and premise is not far off the mark here. We are so globally connected and dependent on far flung countries and their economies that 1 event could be the spark to touch and transform the entire world in 1 fell swoop.
Everyone is at risk in my opinion and no one insulated from King, Queen, royalty all the way down to the commoner and hermit in a cave.
Whether an event is physical or financial in nature, the implications are huge. We can prepare, yet nothing prepares and spares any of us in a world of 6+ billion people and counting.
I’m sure that all governments have contingency plans on the books in the event of some catastrophic event(s), yet I have yet to find some public material on the measures contemplated on the books and at the ready. Would be interesting to ask for the public’s input and see how to go about going back to the cavemen’s and Mad Max mentality where it’s everyone for themselves. No wonder Americans love their guns sensing something’s bound to happen and engraving it into the Constitution being a carefully crafted Cancer(July birth) country by design.
