Hmm, aren’t things Grand…. Deja Vu I would say. Okay let’s back up to 1988. Seems to me almost just like yesterday. Here I was working at the Wheat Berry being homeless(yep that’s another story for another day) when there was talk of closing down the Rideau Street Cinema(sorry right now can’t remember the name) now the Bytown and talk was in the air about the Mayfair. Hmmm, Dragon years don’t seem too kind to Ottawa’s movie cinema scene. Okay. It’s always about money as usual…. so the Mayfair can’t convert. Any kind souls out there who would be interested in keeping the spirit of yesterday alive. Give it some thought…. maybe there’s a huge tax deduction available as a loss to balance out all the other side of the ledger.
