Simple solution to the dilemma of having parental consent especially with regards to sites that pose an obvious risk for kids under 18.
Have physical SIM cards that give parents control and are directly implicated and responsible for their kids conduct, behaviour and exposure to sites.
Yep, they’ll need encryption and be able to change the card so permit or deny access remotely and all that other fun stuff that allows a parent to make the final call.
Not fun having more controls over someone, but in this case with kids, better safe than sorry. Geniuses out there, come up with solutions. Facebook with it’s billions and gaming sites, hey you guys have the bucks to make it happen and give parents the ultimate safe controls. Obviously you’ll need to plan for hackers/crackers. But it’s worth it right ! Come on make me proud that you’ve taken initiatives on kids online safety. I’ve got 2 and worry myself. And hey, if someone doesn’t come up with something, does that mean I’m the guy that’ll have to put this together with a bunch of other things on my 2 Do List ?
