Okay, so I’m probably the only one that noticed this, but I would think this is a wake up call ! Guns especially the ones that are made for waging war are not suitable in the hands of today’s general population, especially when we can diagnose mental issues yet prescribe ineffective medication at the best of times.
So I’m also reading in the Calgary Sun page 3, 24 year old suspect possessed all everything legally. Okay, who’s stupid here – computers, Databases or people. No trick question to this one ! You can buy guns, okay. You can all types of guns okay ! But wouldn’t buying something like 6,000 rounds of ammunition set off a few red flags here or there ? Why does anyone in God’s name need that many rounds to begin with ? End of the World scenario maybe – but were certainly not there yet ! In a city such as Denver now hit twice from this madness, I think it’s time to reconsider our options.
In any case, maybe handguns give people peace of mind. But certainly not civilian versions of assault rifles, grenades, tear gas and whatever other booby trap devices used in wartime scenarios. This is obviously not video games at their best. Real Life is not just some shoot’em out cowboy movie.
Anyways one last point I’ve like to make sure gets across – It’s a very important link in my opinion as the seed of all types of mass shootings
Back in my elementary days, I was in the process of trying to choose the high school I was going to go to. Hmmm, at the time being in a Catholic school I was almost certainly under pressure(self inflicted) to go to St Pius X in Ottawa on Fisher Ave. at the corner of Dynes Rd. My friends where all going to St Pius X, but what I really wanted for some unexplained reason at the time was to go to Merivale High School on Merivale Rd. Couldn’t was the school boards arrangements at the time due to where I was living. I had to go to J.S. Woodsworth – piece of shit school in my opinion at the time and still is. I guess that is why they closed it down. BTW – I’m trying to get school records for my preparation to applying to the University of Ottawa Law Admissions – anyone know where I need to go to get school records now that the high school was closed down permanently??? It’ll be an interesting chase I’m sure – I’ll keep everyone posted when I get there.
So on with the show – finished elementary and had no choice but to go to J.S. Woodsworth. Guess in light of the shootings that took place at St. Pius X at the time, I was glad of that decision. Hmmm, makes one wonder doesn’t it ! I still think it is the mother of all mothers in terms of shootem up mass killings fad still pervasive today as witnessed by Denver’s second one in the last 13 years. At the rate spirals go, we should be expecting more, so bring your body suits and armoured clothing from your friendly Walmarts and Targets(oops – sorry for the pun) when you’re considering going out. This ain’t the first, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Another 10 points for the bad and crazy guys, -10 points for the victims. Who’s smart enough to start doing something about this stupidity we have out there around guns, ammunition and whatnot. God if we can go after “normal” people carrying almost next to nothing in drugs and spend billions on illegal drug management, surely we can do better around guns. Maybe it’s time to enshrine legalizing drugs in our Constitutions. At least we’ll feel better when stupidity strikes again. They’ll be on the same level playing field and our morals/ethical conduct won’t be questioned.
Doesn’t critical thinking do wonders for our peace of mind and souls ? Carry on….
