Actually for those clued out – shop manager here in Calgary is a little bit too picky all of a sudden. Hmmm, wasn’t a problem in the last few weeks coming in at 6:45am or even 7:00am. Now it seems. Hey and even with the huge workload, he’s not willing to give overtime to try and catch up. Seems to me he’s just doing himself in or my boss’ business. No complaints from me if he thinks I’m wanting more work to get overtime – wrooooong, way wrong. I would have been happy just to do it on my own time. So the forces that be say – slow down the terminator work machine in me. Hey if he thinks there’s no need to try and keep up with the pace, I’m all for it. There’s always more work elsewhere after work. God I’ve got enough NRGY to do 3 jobs and more if there was more time in a day or week. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to talk with the real boss and let him know that maybe the reason he’s had trouble keeping people around with high turnover hasn’t been related at all to worker discontent about just the work itself. Goes a long way when not only you have great co-workers, but the shop foreman/manager isn’t a prick. You’ve got good pricks and then the down and dirty ones. Employees are always the one who vote with their feet and end up elsewhere in the end. Take it from an eMBA candidate – not good business plan in the end – everyone suffers. Ah the Karma people end up with because of Choice. I’ll point out other past characters later. In the meantime on with my plans, so much fun having fun that I feel like I’m in a kid’s playground gobbling up all the goodies. 🙂 🙂 🙂
