Back to the past – 1978, cleaning up a defunct donut store – Mr. Donut. With a Canadian crew from Ottawa’s Dunkin’ Donuts. What a hell of a job that was. Absolutely dirty and filthy. Scrubbed for who knows how long to get the place spice and span. Then my dad had me supervise it on a bi-weekly basis driving all the way from Ottawa to Cornwall and then Messina to check up on things. Who knows whatever happened behind the scenes financially. Wasn’t my business and too young at that. But my Dad somehow got rid of it sometime before opening another string of stores – Dunkin’ Donuts in Pointe Gatineau and then Baskin Robbins and then…. well that’s another story.
Ha, enjoying Calgary just to let you know. π Great energy in the air – potential kinetic energy much much better than Ottawa’s quality. Take it from me, if you need zing, this is the place.
