Okay as far as I know at this time, there are zero safeguards in place on downloading online movies and any other videos. While in transit or at their source Movies & Videos could be altered to suit any interested party with a malicious intent. It could be to incite hate, discrimination, propaganda or worst sublimal messages with the intent to bring masses of people into a manner of acting, thinking and revolting against governments, instituitions and individuals and determining social patterns & upheaval maybe with precision along milestones for nefarious purposes. Ditto for governments, agencies and corporations using movies and videos as a way to typecast and even categorize individuals by manipulating what they ingest. Even a billionaire or terrorist with the purpose of taking over could alter society. Big Brother is alive and well and beyond suspicion for the average Joe Blow and Jane Doe just as malicious individuals are real. I don’t like being cynical, but the privilege of having been through Hell has allowed me to see and experience the worst that society has to offer in terms of getting you to jump off a cliff if you don’t bend into it’s system and way of thinking. The Digital Era is really a double Edge sword, and pieces and clips can be intertwined, interspersed mixed up to gauge individual reactions and classify individuals and groups. In the past, reading material such as books or articles could classify you as a “possible” communist or worst social degenerate if your tastes were not “inline” with current fads. Even today physical collections of books, magazines, music collection, CD and DVD’s and “the content of your Digital Devices” in your possession says alot about you. They are your fingerprints of identity and potential directional maps of your psyche. Now in one fell swoop Digital TV’s, PVR’s and Online Movies have no Safeguards to protect anyone from manipulation between what a Director intended for you to see. There is no proof whatsoever that the Original Movie and Video has not been changed in any which way whatsoever. People need to have a serious discussion on this matter pronto. Lest you become labelled and typecast as something you are not ! Prime examples abound – is there a need for me to point out obvious areas where this could be used to change your Life for the worst?
