Time to clean up problems before more innocent lives are lost. Especially Police Officers on both sides of the fence. Protecting and being Victims!
Police Officers are under tremendous pressures from every direction and are almost at a breaking point asking them to do more with less and yet are still accountable for all decisions they make in the blink of an eye. Rightly or wrongly. A good percentage of the time they have no leeway, buffer zones and time to make Life &n Death decisions between the demands of following rules & regulations and following their own intuitions and instincts. They are not machines that can simply be turned on/off from a set of instructions from above. They are simply humans doing superman’s job. There’s no wiggle room between a rock & a hard place when the going gets tough. The internal pressure gets to be too much for even the best of them, if not while doing their jobs, then in the quality of their personal lives and family.
Time to rethink the justice system, from judges in a system of cogs & gears, crunching out case after case like they being milked for all their worth, to professionals who bear the responsibilites of making sure the laws of the land are obey and followed for the public good.
